Kairos Prison Ministry WI Call to Prayer Kairos Outside of Eastern WI Weekend #10 Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen Our God is an Awesome God!! Kairos Outside of Eastern WI (serving the whole state) Weekend #10 the Lord at work as 19 guests finished the Weekend with words of praise! Their words: Lighter feeling as burdens were lifted, no longer feeling alone, enlightened, empowered and just Wow! They were all nervous and uncertain of what to expect and by the end they all conveyed how overwhelmed they were with the love of Christ that was shown by the team members and the amazing Christian community members who traveled long distances to pray for them and sing to them at the camp. I cannot thank them enough as it meant so much to the guests! It was amazing to watch as evil forces tried to take out a team member and yet God prevailed in having just the right people as His hands and feet to overcome the situation. The Lord orchestrated each talk and meditation to have a great impact on the guests. The activities provided bonding and some great fun. The Lord provided the right leadership and the right team that truly showed the Body of Christ at work. We could see and feel the presence of God there with us all on the Weekend. I pray more of you will join in on a Weekend team as it will enrich your life just as much as it enriches the lives of our guests as we Listen, Listen, Love, Love as Christ would have us do. Kairos Prison Ministry WI Call to Prayer And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus; and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven; (Acts 9:3) KJV Have you ever experienced an “aha” moment that changed your whole perspective on your situation? I believe the scripture above was more than an “aha” moment for Paul and more of a life changing moment. They tend to happen when we least expect them or are so busy doing what we believe is right. Then the Lord uses various ways to get our attention back on Him and let Jesus take the wheel. I spent some time doing just that these past few months. I let myself get side tracked fervently looking for a safe place to relocate my family only to keep having Him shut doors. This had me quite discouraged at first and then I realized I was looking  where I wanted to be and not listening to where God wanted me to be. It took nearly two months before I finally was shown the location He wanted me to be. Please don’t be discouraged when this world tries to get you down, taxes your health, or gets you side tracked with business. We just need to look up for that light from heaven and through God’s Word, do what He tells us to do even if it just means taking a break from all the business. After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you.   (1 Peter 5:8-10)

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12) Praise God for this instruction given to use via Paul!! I remember there are several places in the Bible where God instructs us to be joyful in all things. I know sometimes we let what is going on in this world, in our families or maybe even work steal our joy. I find I have to be ever mindful to remember to look up to the One who gives us joy in salvation. We can also be joyful in the hope we have in this ministry as the Lord is starting to open more hearts and doors to share what this ministry is all about with others including those who are supervising the institutions we would like to get into. This is so exciting!! I know there are some of you who want to be more involved, however your health or  circumstances seem to be hindering you. Please be patient as God says and He will make a way for you to help when it is your time.   With prayer all of this will come together to work for His good in His time! Having a heart to serve in this ministry is much appreciated no matter what your contribution is!! Praise God for our new State Chair who has a heart on fire to serve. She is located in a hot spot for possible doors to open for this ministry to get inside a couple men’s institutions. The Lord is even working through her in bodily affliction. Isn’t it awesome how God works amazing things when we are sometimes at our weakest?! “With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalm 18:29 I love it when I read of the Lord God’s help that is given to us all who! When I read this verse, I was reminded of all the walls this ministry has been encountering whenever we try to get inside of the correctional institutions. We hear that the lack of staffing is awful or there is a lack of space. We also get told of all the things we cannot bring in. Here David reminds us that we can overcome the challenges we face through fervent prayer. The Lord will give us guidance as we navigate through the issues and patiently wait for when He says it is time to go in. The Lord God will help us scale the walls to get inside when the timing is right even though many of us would prefer it to be sooner. Let’s trust in God and His will in this matter. While we are waiting though, we know we also need to be prepared for the day when we are told we can go inside.
