Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12)
Praise God for this instruction given to use via Paul!! I remember there are several places in the Bible where God instructs us to be joyful in all things. I know sometimes we let what is going on in this world, in our families or maybe even work steal our joy. I find I have to be ever mindful to remember to look up to the One who gives us joy in salvation.
We can also be joyful in the hope we have in this ministry as the Lord is starting to open more hearts and doors to share what this ministry is all about with others including those who are supervising the institutions we would like to get into. This is so exciting!! I know there are some of you who want to be more involved, however your health or circumstances seem to be hindering you. Please be patient as God says and He will make a way for you to help when it is your time.
With prayer all of this will come together to work for His good in His time! Having a heart to serve in this ministry is much appreciated no matter what your contribution is!!
Praise God for our new State Chair who has a heart on fire to serve. She is located in a hot spot for possible doors to open for this ministry to get inside a couple men’s institutions. The Lord is even working through her in bodily affliction. Isn’t it awesome how God works amazing things when we are sometimes at our weakest?!
This is just one of our many praises in which I will share a few here:
- We praise God for those of you who have helped to financially support this ministry this past year!!! We would not have been able to serve so many nor provide vital devotionals to several institutions.
- We praise God for progress starting to happen that, God willing, we will have an active Kairos Torch program going in this state in the near future. It is crucial to reach the youth before more bad choices are made.
- We praise God for all of you who pray for us, serve with us and share what we do with others around you.
- We praise the Lord for making a way for a few women who serve on the Kairos Inside Ellsworth Advisory Council to travel to another state to observe how the program works for an Inside Weekend! This will be very beneficial!
Please check it out!!
The updated Kairos Wisconsin site is active!! It is interactive with loads of information not only
for our state but you will find information about what is going on around the country and world. If you find anything you think we are missing, please let us know.
The Kairos Inside of Ellsworth Advisory Council is getting closer to getting their first Weekend scheduled. They have a Weekend Leader chosen and are working on getting details of what can and can’t be done inside the institution in order to work with the staff. They need volunteers to start getting a team together.
The Kairos Outside of Eastern WI Advisory Council is planning their 10th Weekend and are having monthly SWAP groups and quarterly reunions going on. They are in need of volunteers to help with this weekend especially if you are clergy or are a musician.

While there are many things for us to praise God for, please note that we are still in great need for prayer. Keep in mind that this is not a complete list of needs but God knows what those additional needs are so please, please, please add these to your prayer lists for:
1. Volunteers to come forward to serve in open spots on the State Committee, Advisory Councils and
Weekends to happen soon.
2. The Wardens, superintendents and chaplains to open their hearts to the Kairos Inside program that will
make a difference in their institutions to make them safer.
3. The Lord to lead women whose lives have been impacted by their loved ones being incarceration to
make the decision to attend the next Kairos Outside Weekend on Oct 23-25, 2026.
4. The funds to continue to help pay for devotionals that are sent to 5 institutions and the new manuals that
we will be need to purchase soon for the programs to continue to work as God has led.
5. Healing for volunteers who are experiencing sicknesses.
6. The Lord’s guidance with struggles happening in the various Cursillo and 4th Day communities who also
need volunteers.
